9-10-20   THOUGHTS

I often pray to God for a better world for my children and grand children.  Better than I see presently.  I suppose in every generation, fathers and grandfathers have prayed that prayer.  I am powerless except to follow God.  That’s my job...  To present God to a world that wants it own thing!  We who believe know at least two things:  1.  we know that the world needs God, and  2.  we know that we (the Church) are the agency God has chosen to present Himself to the world!

Ps 10:12-18     Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up Your hand. Do not forget the afflicted. 13  Why has the wicked spurned God? He has said to himself, "You will not require it." 14  You have seen it, for You have beheld mischief and vexation to take it into Your hand. The unfortunate commits himself to You; You have been the helper of the orphan. 15  Break the arm of the wicked and the evildoer, Seek out his wickedness until You find none. 16  The LORD is King forever and ever; Nations have perished from His land. 17  O LORD, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will strengthen their heart, You will incline Your ear  18  To vindicate the orphan and the oppressed, So that man who is of the earth will no longer cause terror.

We need God’s help so that we can see the RIGHT WAR...  We can chose THE RIGHT BATTLES!  
1Cor 1:18     For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
2Cor 10:3-5    For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, 4  for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.   5  We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,
1Cor 2:2  For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.
2Cor 2:15-16   For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;  16  to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things?
I suppose FOCUS is one of our greatest needs?

My Prayer:
Lord God of heaven, make us to see the spiritual war that you see so clearly.  Lord teach us our job, and help us to focus, that we may be light and salt to the world.  Draw us to yourself that we may love you with all our heart, soul and mind.  Cleanse us continually Oh God that we may abide in your presence.                            In Jesus name                      Amen
